Do You Really Need to Lose Weight?
So your favorite jeans have gotten a bit too close-fitting for comfort. Maybe you don't cut quite the figure in your bathing suit that you did a few years ago. But do you really need to lose weight? Are you putting your health in danger -- or just carrying around a little harmless extra padding?
Churchill Medical has been providing service to the people of White County and the Upper Cumberland Region since 1985. We are the oldest established practice in White County and are proud to serve the fine people of Middle Tennessee. Dr. Drake is a board-certified specialist in Family Medicine. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Tennessee Academy of Family Practice, having achieved the degree of Fellow, the highest degree obtainable in his profession.
Dr. Drake completed his fellowship training at Southern Illinois University in 1985 and brought his young family to Sparta to begin his medical practice. He has never practiced medicine anywhere else. The practice has grown from 2 to 9 employees including Physician Assistant Katina E. Jones.
Dr. Drake provided the full range of family practice for many years, including obstetrics and surgical procedures. He is proud of having delivered over 1600 babies in those first 16 years, including 16 sets of twins. For nine of those years he was the sole provider in White County for obstetrical services. In 2001 Dr. Drake decided to drop that portion of his practice to devote more time to his growing family.
Though we no longer perform obstetrical services, we still provide a large array of family medicine services including care of newborns, babies, children, adolescents, teens, young adults, middle age adults, and the elderly. Care is provided in both the office setting and in the hospital through Dr. Drake’s affiliation with White County Community Hospital.
Our goal is to be your health care home, providing coordinated health
care and advice for healthy living in an increasingly complicated health
care world. We want to provide a listening ear, friendly, competent care,
and advice that you can trust.
